DJ POISON IVY

It all started in the year of 1991 in Germany-Ulm.

At the age of 13 Poison Ivy found passion in B-Boying, spraying Graffities, DJ'ing and observing several MC's at the youth center which she used to hang out at.

Her passion led her to buy her first vinyl record (by Grandmaster Flash). From there on out, she started collecting vinyl records by all the big hip hop artists, from New York to L.A.

Her success as a promoter and manager for several hip hop events in 1999 and her already established interest in DJ'ing, drove her to buy her first set of turntables and headphones and focus on becoming an artist at the turntables, in 2000.

At an event in 2001 Poison Ivy had the opportunity to show off her DJ skills when performing as a DJ prior to the main event of that show, which in turn led to her booking as a main event afterwards. That event opened the doors for monthly gigs at the clubs and bookings througout all of Germany. Meanwhile she's amongst the most booked DJane's in the German Hip Hop Community. Her style ranges from early 90's Hip Hop, RnB, Dirty South and Old School Hip Hop, to Raggeton, Dancehall and Miami Bass.

Because of her experience and her excellent prepration, Poison Ivy is able to focus on the needs of her audience. It's her audience that inspired her, to be the DJane she is today.

All the traveling from booking to booking led her to seek a more established career and she decided to become club "Proton" in stuttgart's resident DJ. She's known to get her audience "Crunk" every friday, which also gave her the nickname "The Queen of Crunk". Her duties at the proton go further then just DJ'ing. She also plans and books the guest DJ's, MC's and live acts.
